Class Description:
Depending on the duration, intensity, and type of exercise you are performing there are three stages where nutrition plays a role in your performance – before, during, and after activity. In this workshop I will provide research-based nutritional information on what and when to eat for exercise to optimize your performance.

- When to eat for optimal performance
- How much time you should allow before exercise after eating
- What post-exercise meal and/or snack choices will help you recover quickly and enable your muscles to perform better the next time around
- Why the choices you make regarding when and what to eat after a workout impact your recovery and future performance
- A research-based fueling formula for pro-longed, strenuous exercise lasting over 90 minutes
- A food formula for a nourishing pre-exercise meal and/or snack
- A research-based formula for optimal glycogen re-synthesis
